Wellness Education
“Helping children build calm bodies, kind hearts, and confident minds.”
Kind Rise Wellness Education
Kind Rise is a whole-child wellness approach that integrates yoga therapy principles, mindfulness, social-emotional learning (SEL), and play-based education. Founded through my experience as both an educator and a mother of young children, I developed Kind Rise™ to help children build emotional regulation, confidence, and resilience through movement, breath, and mindful connection. Kind Rise teaches emotional regulation, mindfulness, and confidence through yoga, breathing, movement, and play. Our classes give children simple tools to manage emotions, improve focus, and build healthy lifelong habits for well-being.
The program is intentionally designed to align with children’s developmental stages, meeting them where they are socially, emotionally, and cognitively. Every session follows a predictable progression that helps children feel safe and successful. Each class has its own theme and core skills, all connecting to a larger unit. Children learn accessible tools for calming their bodies, understanding their emotions, and building healthy lifelong wellness habits.
Kind Rise is grounded in interdisciplinary research spanning:
yoga therapy and mind–body practices
developmental neuroscience
social-emotional learning (SEL)
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
mindfulness-based education
child development and special education pedagogy
The methodology integrates traditional practices with modern evidence demonstrating that emotional regulation, attention, and wellbeing can be strengthened through embodied learning experiences.
A decade-long integrative review examining yoga interventions for children and adolescents found consistent benefits across multiple domains:
"Yoga practices combine movement, breath regulation, and focused attention; three mechanisms shown to influence children’s emotional and cognitive functioning simultaneously.”
-Kerekes et al., 2024
Physical postures help children develop both bodily awareness and psychological confidence:
“Learning physical postures builds confidence and strength as well as the mind-body connection… kids start to realize that they are strong and then are able to take that strength, confidence, acceptance, and compassion out into the world.”
-Harvard Health
